In 2006 Rutger Hauer fulfilled his dream and started the Rutger Hauer Filmfactory, a foundation based in the Netherlands that has the goal to organize masterclasses, workshops and courses for filmmakers, students in the film and audiovisual sector and talented school children as well as to promote and strengthen the international film branch through the network of the participants and experts.	PLAY WITH IT tells the story of how 30 international filmmakers produce 6 short films in only 10 days by trusting on their instinct. Not alone, but guided by the legendary film icon Rutger Hauer and his team of professionals during his own international masterclass filmmaking called the Rutger Hauer Filmfactory.	The documentary was broadcasted by RTV Rijnmond (Sep. 27th, 2008 & Dec. 14th, 2008) and has been shown at the I’ve Seen Films Festival in Italy.

The serie focusses on the youngsters who participated in the filmworkshops of Carmen of the North and were selected to work on the film, being their first feature film workexperience.	MAKING THE MOVIE was also made by the young filmtalents that were part of the workshops.

Documentary filmmaker In-Soo Radstake is just like any average Dutchman. He feels close to his parents, likes meat and potatoes and cheers on his favorite sports team. A Korean adoptee, he doesn’t feel conflicted about his identity or have any deep stirrings to find his Korean roots. But when he embarks on an innocent journey to find the eight other Korean adoptees who flew on the same plane as him from Korea to Holland over twenty years ago, a domino effect of events will alter his life.	He first meets Ungila, and is taken by her knowledge of Korean culture and her personal story of being reunited with her birthmother. She quickly becomes In-Soo’s girlfriend, and is instrumental in opening up a world of wounded, pent-up emotions. With her love and support, In-Soo travels back to Korea for the first time and visits his old orphanage. Soon a long-repressed need to find his birthmother bubbles to the surface, and In-Soo is on a desperate quest to reconcile a part of himself that he didn’t even know existed.	MADE IN KOREA had its world premiere at the prestigious Pusan International Film Festival and received Honorable Mention By The Jury (headed by Sundance topper Geoffrey Gilmore) at EBS International Documentary Festival in Seoul.  At the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2007 the film ended top #6 in the Audience Award, becoming the Best Rewarded Dutch Film of the festival. Director In-Soo Radstake was nominated for the ‘Emering Director Award’ at the Asian American International Film Festival and Made in Korea was shown at several international filmfestivals in the USA, China, Europe and South America

IT’S GOOD TO BE SURINAMESE is a documentary in which Surinamese youngsters try to help developing their country with spreading their message of positivity and inspiration: stay in school, be a positive citizen. Their group is called the Dim Sum Academy and together with filmmaker In-Soo Radstake they make a documentary about their journey.	Initially it’s not sure what they exactly do, until the moment a preview screening is held in Paramaribo. After that they start touring with the film, an journey in which even the president comes in to the story.	Music video Surinamese rapper Tatoo and his crewmembers Black Cat, Dw1 and Crazy G composed a title song for the documentary. The music video can be watched on YouTube.

In extreme circumstances one has the ability to survive through the strength of their imagination.	EIS FREI is the pure and poetic story about a young girl, played by the award winning actress Sylvia Hoeks, who tries to escape the harsh reality of war by fleeing into her own fantasy world. In this magical and surrealistic environment she experiences a moment of true happiness and she manages to stand up against the war.	The film had its world premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and had its international premier at Pusan International Film Festival. At the Dutch Film Festival the film was part of the Debut Competition. EIS FREI had a small theatrical release in The Netherlands. EIS FREI was part of the project Rotterdam Shorts and funded by the Rotterdam Film Fund.

DE WORKSHOP
The workshops is a filmmaking project for 400 youngsters in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. For eight weeks they followed weekly workshops on making film, during courses in directing, camera, light, sound, editing, music, art-direction, costume design, production and acting. All workshops were hosted by acclaimed film professionals, like San Fu Maltha, Marc van der Bijl, Niko Post, Menno Boerema, Herman P. Koerts and casting agency Kemna Casting.	Goal is to provide motivated youngsters an education, a professional network and a relevant track record. The greatest talents got selected for working in assisting positions on the film CARMEN VAN HET NOORDEN, which will be theatrically released in The Netherlands at the end of 2009.  Seventeen of them were selected to work in the crew, eight were selected as an actor or actrice to shine on the white screen. The project was supported by Your World (Rotterdam European Youth Capital 2009), Rotterdam Film Fund and Pact op Zuid (City of Rotterdam).	There were also partnerships with University of InHolland, Albeda College, SAE Institute, The Back Lot, Theater Zuidplein, Pathé, Roots & Routes, Kemna Casting, Huis van Rotterdam, Woonstad Rotterdam, FunX, RTV Rijnmond, Benelux Film Distribution and Metro.  The Workshops were held from Oct. 27, 2008 until Dec. 18, 2008
