In-Soo Productions is an independent production company based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. We produce feature films, documentaries and tv-programmes.
We do what we like and we like what we do: telling stories for a wide audience, but also for smaller ones. We enjoy working with talent as well as collaborating with other companies from The Netherlands and abroad.
So far our films have screened all over the world and got awards and nominations at several occasions.
Founder In-Soo Radstake (Seoul, 1979) started his career working as a producer and director for several Dutch public and commercial broadcasters, as well as for KBS Korea. He is a graduate of the Binger Film Lab as well as the EAVE Producers Network.
Radstake directed the award winning feature-length documentary MADE IN KOREA, which had its world premiere at Pusan International Film Festival, received awards at EBS International Film Festival, got nominated at the Asian American International Film Festival and ended top #6 Audience Award at IFFR in 2007, being the Best Rewarded Dutch Film of the festival. A-Film Distribution released the film in Dutch cinemas.
At IDFA 2010 the documentary PARRADOX – about the legendary filmmaker Pim de la Parra – received the Nomination for Best Dutch Documentary and was theatrically released by Benelux Film Distributors.
Together with Fu Works and IDTV Film the 90’ feature film SPY OF ORANGE has been produced and was theatrically released in over 100 cinemas in The Netherland around February 2009.
In September 2009 the feature film CARMEN VAN HET NOORDEN has been released at the Dutch Film Festival, immediately picking up the Golden Calf Award for Best Music for composer Perquisite.
Currently several films are in production or development, like THE SECRET OF HEMA by Yan Ting Yuen, which handles around Holland’s largest and most known departmentstore HEMA, and DUTCH NEW HERRING by awardwinning director Leonard Retel Helmrich.
We are co-producing the epic warfilm THE BOMBARDEMENT on the bombing of Rotterdam during World War II and are in development of SOFIA – STORY OF A FORBIDDEN LOVE (based on the book by Margalith Kleijwegt) and the first Dutch-Korean feature co-production FOUR SEASONS.
